Method 2 - using the graph navigation tools

Select the (Select Nodes) tool on the graph toolbar and click and hold at a location on the graph.
A dynamic box appears which can be dragged to highlight nodes within its area.
Move the mouse until the dynamic box surrounds the desired nodes, then release.

The nodes in the selection are highlighted.
Tip: You can draw the rectangle around the graphics in the view.
